There are plenty of amateur (ham) radio groups, nets, gatherings, and events in the area between Western Massachusetts and Central Connecticut (the so-called Knowledge Corridor). However, there isn't a Meetup group about Amateur (Ham) radio in the area. We will be visiting local groups, participate on the nets, get informed about local gatherings, and meet in person. This will be a one-stop resource about all things Amateur (Ham) Radio and Emergency Preparedness!

If your a licensed Amateur Radio enthusiast looking to get out on day trips in an active environment to do some hiking, biking or mobile field activations, then this is the group for you.  Basically, We are about "Getting away from the shack"!  Even if you are not licensed, but are interested in helping, learning, or just want to come along, please feel free.
